What do I need to set this up?
Just your tracking IDs. For Google Analytics, you need your GA4 Measurement ID (starts with G-). For Meta Pixel, you need your Pixel ID (a string of numbers). Both are free to create in Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite. Once you have them, paste them into your Futurestay settings and you're done.
What can I do with Google Analytics?
Google Analytics 4 shows you everything about your website traffic: where visitors come from, which pages they view, how long they stay, and whether they convert. You can also link it to Google Ads to run search campaigns and use your GA4 conversion data to optimize bidding. It's free and gives you full visibility into your funnel.
What can I do with Meta Pixel?
Meta Pixel tracks visitors to your booking site and builds an audience you can retarget with ads on Facebook and Instagram. Most visitors don't book on their first visit, so retargeting lets you show them your property again when they're scrolling social media. Retargeting ads have a 76% higher click rate than regular ads.
Do I need both, or can I use just one?
You can use one or both. Google Analytics is great for understanding your traffic and funnel. Meta Pixel is essential if you want to run retargeting ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you're serious about marketing your direct booking site, we recommend using both.
